What is counselling?

Counselling is a talking therapy that gives you the opportunity to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in a non-judgemental, supportive and confidential environment.

Through the counselling process I will help you to work through difficult and painful feelings that may be stopping you from fully engaging with, and enjoying your life.

Counselling can help with many problems and issues and is particularly useful for low mood, anxiety, grief and loss, confidence and self-esteem, relationship problems, addictive behaviours, stress related issues, and physical problems with no obvious cause.

I use an integrative model and am trained in a variety of approaches which means that I can tailor my approach to suit you as the unique individual that you are.

Benefits of counselling:

  • Improved relationships with yourself and others
  • Increased motivation and enthusiasm
  • Greater understanding of your thoughts, feelings and behavioural patterns
  • Acceptance of yourself and others
  • Increased self-esteem and confidence
  • Resolution of past or present conflicts
  • Assertiveness
Sessions usually take place on a weekly basis at a cost of £45 per session.
